Staff Safety

Staff Safety made simple

At StandbyU, we’re committed to providing easy-to-use, reliable safety solutions that focus on connections to support the safety of lone workers in high-risk, remote, or isolated environments.

With practical experience in the industries we support, we have a unique understanding of what works - and we know that feeling connected is vital to your team's feelings of safety.  Our personal safety devices have been designed to be activated when a team member is worried, not just when there’s an emergency; and our regular check-in service provides peace of mind and lets everyone focus on their core role.

We understand that every team has different working contexts and known risks to safety, so we’ll work with you to tailor a safety solution to that meets your team’s specific needs and provides the level of safety and support they need, while supporting your organisations's WHS policies.

Peace of mind and safety for Lone Workers

With more than 75% of Australian workers having experienced some type of verbal or physical assault, we know that keeping your at-risk staff safe at work so they get home safely is vital.

StandbyU works with corporate, government and community organisations across Australia, delivering reliable, innovative, technology-based safety solutions that support the safety of

at-risk workers who:

  • Work alone in unsafe or unpredictable environments.

  • Provide community-based services at mobile locations.

  • Provide in-home care at private residences.

  • Work with vulnerable people in out-of-home residential units and outreach programs.

  • Work night and weekend shifts.

  • Work remotely at home or at an isolated office.

StandbyU Shield for Staff

The StandbyU Shield delivers the highest level of safety for staff working in high-risk, remote or isolated work environments.  It’s been designed to connect at-risk staff to a support team, 24/7 wherever they are in Australia that has 4G mobile network coverage.

The Shield personal safety device is lightweight and discreet in design which lets the wearer activate an SOS alarm without escalating the situation.

When an SOS is activated, the device silently calls the wearer’s response team, providing a secret and secure way for staff to access the help they need, when they need it, by simply pressing a button.

Connect&Check for Staff

StandbyU’s Connect&Check is a simple, effective solution that provides an extra layer of peace of mind and safety for staff working in low-risk residential or community based environments who’d benefit from a regular “I’m Okay” check-in call.  It also supports your organisation’s WHS requirements for staff whose work requires them to check-in.

Designed to work anywhere in Australia where there’s network coverage, Connect&Check uses your organisation’s existing mobile or fixed telephone assets with no apps needed.

Connect&Check is fully automated, so staff don’t need to remember to check in, allowing them to focus on their core role.  Their nominated support team will be alerted if the check-in call isn’t answered, enabling a planned safety response to be activated to ensure staff receive the help they need when they need it.
