Connections Change Lives
StandbyU’s Charitable Foundation aims to build a better, safer Australia for people feeling unsafe or isolated through services that focus on connections, because we know that connections change lives.
We provide free StandbyU Shields through our Shield Charity Program for children, young people and adults experiencing domestic violence, and a free, supportive, walk-in service at Magnolia Place for those experiencing challenges in their lives.
Our Vision is an empathetic Australia where people feel compelled to act towards creating a safer and more connected society. Our focus is on safety through connections, and our purpose is to provide services that prevent issues becoming incidents.
What our Charitable Foundation does

Shield Charity Program
Through our Shield Charity Program, we provide StandbyU Shield personal safety devices for anyone impacted by domestic and family violence or abuse. The StandbyU Shield has been designed to secretly connect those at risk to those who care wherever they are, 24 hours a day by simply pressing a button.

Magnolia Place
Magnolia Place is a walk-in service located at Westfield Helensvale, where anyone experiencing challenges such as domestic violence, abuse and homelessness can access support in a safe, judgement-free space.

For us, these numbers tell us about the work we’ve done and the need for what we do. But, just as important to us is the impact our services have on the people we support, so we also measure:
Improved safety.
Connectedness.
Social participation.
Peace of mind and wellbeing.
